Leaders Eat Last
In his work with organizations around the world, Simon Sinek noticed that some teams trust each other deeply and other teams, no matter the incentives are plagued with infighting, fragmentation, and failure. Investigating the reason why, he discovered the answer was the kind of leadership that created environments in which people naturally work together to do remarkable things. These leaders often sacrifice their own comfort for the good of those on their team and build what Sinek calls a "Circle of Safety" where they feel safe and protected by the leadership in an organization.
